Voice notes work differently on every platform. Here’s a quick guide for the apps not covered elsewhere — Telegram, Snapchat, Twitter/X, Messenger, and even Google Slides.

Quick answer: Most apps use the same pattern — tap and hold the microphone icon to record, release to send. Telegram is the most feature-rich. Twitter/X requires recording separately. Google Slides needs audio file insertion.

Telegram Voice Notes

Telegram has the best voice note implementation of any messaging app.
